Postcards from AACR | CST Blog

Cancer research is near and dear to our hearts, but so is having a good time. AACR is an annual opportunity to get out of the office and get after both.

The ride in always sets the tone. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom in Washington, D.C. this year, a beautiful addition to the already legendary landmarks. We got too many good shots of the city to count, so we’ve stashed some more at the bottom of this post.

The conference sessions are a great reminder of why we fight the good fight every day. We’ve been focusing a lot of our recent efforts on immuno-oncology, and it’s great to see all the good work happening in the space. We even presented a few thoughts of our own.

Meanwhile, in the vendor area, we set up our new booth. Antibody samples? Check. Posters? Check. Pathway tote bags? Alright, alright. We got it all. And we brought our brightest minds to engage the visitors. Now, if we can just keep them from goofing around while they wait…

Then there’s always the random sightings: a bull in a luchador’s mask, a delicious cocktail, the White House…with googly eyes. I did say we like to have a good time. Check out the rest of our AACR photos below. I wonder what we’ll see next year.
